Thus ultrafast laser pulses become a versatile tool for machining transparent materials, such as glass, quartz sapphire, etc. Also, focused ultrafast laser pulses can cause nonlinear absorption effects in transparent materials, allowing us to conduct micro-processing inside of such materials.
